There’s something about a neat, green lawn that makes a property instantly welcoming. But lawns don’t just look after themselves, they need regular care and a bit of know-how. I’ve learned this first-hand through both my own garden and the jobs I’ve done for clients across Northamptonshire.
Here are some simple tips I share with people:
Mow regularly but not too short. Cutting too low can stress the grass, especially in hot weather.
Feed it seasonally. A spring feed helps growth, while autumn treatments strengthen roots for winter.
Don’t forget the edges. A tidy edge makes a huge difference — it frames the lawn and gives that professional finish.
Watch for weeds and moss. Deal with them early before they take over.
When I started JB Creative, lawn care was one of my core services. It’s satisfying to see the difference even a few visits can make, from patchy, tired grass to a lawn that really lifts the whole garden.
If you’re in Northamptonshire and want help keeping your lawn in shape, I’d be happy to give advice or take the job off your hands. Sometimes all it takes is a bit of consistency, and that’s where I can help.
